In one of several restaurant marketing consultancy stints, I was tasked with changing Bobby Flay’s largest company so it could be taken public. Every accomplishment made the business stronger, more relevant, and more profitable. We reached the important stage of the company’s growth — a public offering — on time, and under budget.

The brand’s guiding idea:

Tying the Flay name to a simple guiding idea elicited an elevated behavior from our people, leading to consistent, elevated guest experiences.

Its meaning is simple. Its impact is complex. Guests expect exceptional service, incredible ‘Bobby Flay’ food — all served in a clean, fun and friendly environment. Our employees expect to work in the kind of environment where they can flourish. Where their hard work and dedication ultimately leads to personal growth and success.
